We hand harvest wild Giant Kelp, Macrocystis pyrifera, from abundant kelp forests off the coast of Santa Cruz, California. The perennial kelp forests off can grow up to 2 feet a day and live up to 8 years! Giant kelp is rich in nutrients due to the unique phenomena of upwelling off the coast of California, recycling nutrient rich water from the cold depths to the warmer surface. Our kelp is then freeze dried and milled into a fine 100% kelp powder and encapsulated into 132 mg vegetable capsules, 60 capsules per bottle.
